The Ultimate Summer BBQ Feast

The Ultimate Summer BBQ Feast

Five dishes. Five cuts. One unforgettable feast.

For many people, a barbecue means the same familiar line-up of burgers, sausages and hot dogs, hurriedly cooked while everyone waits for the weather to turn.

But great meat deserves more.

At Eat Great Meat, we wanted to showcase just how versatile premium meat can be and prove that a barbecue can be every bit as exciting, creative and memorable as a meal cooked indoors. So we challenged ourselves to create five very different dishes using a variety of cuts, price points and serving styles.

Some are perfect for a quick midweek tea. Others lend themselves beautifully to date nights, family get-togethers or weekend entertaining. And, as these photographs prove, they can also come together to create one spectacular sharing feast worthy of any summer celebration.

From an impressive Tomahawk steak board to a colourful Moroccan-inspired lamb platter, this isn't your average barbecue. It's a chance to gather around the table, try something new and let the meat do the talking.

Whether you're cooking for two or feeding a crowd, we hope these ideas inspire you to elevate your next BBQ.

Mediterranean Lamb Burger

Lamb burgers don't have to play second fiddle to beef. This Mediterranean-inspired version combines our minted lamb burger with charred rosemary focaccia, cooling mint yoghurt, ribbons of cucumber, sweet pickled onions and jewel-like pomegranate seeds.

The result is fresh, vibrant and packed with contrasting flavours and textures. It's a brilliant alternative to a traditional burger and one that feels just as suited to an al fresco lunch as it does a summer dinner party.

Yorkshire Smokehouse Burger

For something a little more indulgent, we wanted to create a burger that felt distinctly Yorkshire – taking inspiration from some of our favourite local flavours and elevating them into a proper smokehouse-style feast.

Our premium beef burger is topped with smoked cheddar, sticky red onions, peppery watercress and homemade horseradish mayo before being served in a soft bun alongside crispy beef dripping chips.

Rich, comforting and unmistakably Yorkshire, this is a burger designed for those who like their barbecue food with a little extra substance.

Moroccan BBQ Feast

Gigot steaks are one of the most underrated cuts available and deserve a regular place on the barbecue.

Cooked until blushing pink and served with charred flatbreads, harissa yoghurt, grilled apricots, fresh herbs and plenty of pomegranate seeds, this sharing platter brings together smoky, sweet and spicy flavours in every mouthful.

It looks impressive, tastes incredible and proves that lesser-known cuts can often be the stars of the show.

Steakhouse Sharing Board

Every feast needs a centrepiece and for us there was only one choice.

The Tomahawk steak takes centre stage here, sliced and served alongside grilled echalion shallots, mixed vine tomatoes, parmesan fries, rustic bread and vibrant homemade chimichurri.

Designed to be shared, this board captures everything we love about summer entertaining – generous portions, simple sides and great conversation around the table.

It's date-night worthy, but equally at home as the hero dish at a family barbecue.

BBQ Sausage & Romesco Board

Sausages often get overlooked at more grown-up barbecues, but we think they deserve their moment in the spotlight.

Our premium sausages are paired with smoky charred peppers, peppery rocket, shaved parmesan, grilled sourdough and generous spoonful's of romesco sauce to create a Spanish-inspired sharing board bursting with flavour.

Proof that sausages can be every bit as sophisticated as steak.

Bringing It All Together

The beauty of this feast is that every dish stands proudly on its own. You could recreate the lamb burger for a Tuesday night tea, cook the Tomahawk for a special occasion or prepare the Moroccan platter when friends come round.

But together, they show just how exciting barbecue food can be.

At Eat Great Meat, we're passionate about helping people discover new cuts, new flavours and new ways to enjoy great meat. This feast is our invitation to think beyond the ordinary, embrace a little creativity and make this summer's barbecues your best yet.
